Description
This Honey Teriyaki Air Fryer Salmon is a quick and easy dish that combines the sweetness of honey and the savory flavors of teriyaki with perfectly cooked salmon, all made effortlessly in the air fryer.
Ingredients
2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (to thicken the sauce)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
Chopped green onions (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Stir the ingredients over medium heat until the honey dissolves and the mixture begins to simmer.
- Add the cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water) to the sauce, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens to a syrupy consistency.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
- Brush the honey teriyaki sauce over the salmon fillets, ensuring an even coat. Set aside for a few minutes to allow the sauce to soak into the fish.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down, and cook for 7-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets and how crispy you like the edges. The internal temperature of the salmon should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the air fryer. Brush the fillets with additional honey teriyaki sauce and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
