Description
These Hot Dog Pigs in a Blanket are a quick and easy appetizer or meal idea made with crescent roll dough and hot dogs. Perfect for parties, game day snacks, or a fun family dinner.
Ingredients
- 8 hot dogs
- 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count)
- Optional: egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water)
- Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
- Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 smaller triangles.
- Cut each hot dog in half to make 16 pieces.
- Roll each piece of hot dog in a dough triangle, starting from the wider end.
- Place the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Optional: Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve with ketchup, mustard, or dipping sauce of choice.
- You can use mini hot dogs instead of cutting regular ones.
