Description

These Hot Dog Pigs in a Blanket are a quick and easy appetizer or meal idea made with crescent roll dough and hot dogs. Perfect for parties, game day snacks, or a fun family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 can crescent roll dough (8-count)
  • Optional: egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water)
  • Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles.
  3. Cut each triangle in half lengthwise to create 16 smaller triangles.
  4. Cut each hot dog in half to make 16 pieces.
  5. Roll each piece of hot dog in a dough triangle, starting from the wider end.
  6. Place the wrapped hot dogs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Optional: Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with ketchup, mustard, or dipping sauce of choice.
  • You can use mini hot dogs instead of cutting regular ones.
