Description

These Hot Dog Sliders are a fun and easy twist on classic hot dogs, perfect for parties, game day, or a quick family dinner. Served on Hawaiian rolls with cheese, onions, and a tasty mustard-butter glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 ounces) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 package (14 ounces) bun-length hot dogs
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Without separating rolls, cut the entire package in half horizontally; place bottom halves in a greased 13×9-in. baking dish.
  2. Cut hot dogs in half lengthwise and then crosswise, creating 24 pieces. Place 2 pieces on each roll bottom.
  3. Top with cheese slices, chopped onion, and roll tops.
  4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, mustard, dried minced onion, and poppy seeds. Brush over tops of sliders.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for 5-10 minutes longer or until tops are lightly browned.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Great for feeding a crowd—easy to scale up or down.
  • Try different cheeses like cheddar or pepper jack for variety.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispness.
