Description

A quick and easy Instant Pot poached egg made perfectly tender using a mason jar. Ideal for a simple breakfast or topping for toast and salads.

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 room temperature egg

Instructions

  1. Spray a mason jar with cooking spray and crack the egg into the jar.
  2. Place the rack inside the Instant Pot and pour in 1 cup of water.
  3. Set the mason jar on the rack, close the lid, and set the valve to sealing.
  4. Cook on manual pressure for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
  5. Quick release the pressure when done.
  6. Carefully remove the jar using oven gloves and flip it upside down to release the poached egg.

Notes

  • Use room temperature eggs for more even cooking.
  • Cooking time varies: 3 minutes for softer yolk, 5 minutes for firmer yolk.
  • Greasing the jar helps prevent sticking.
