Description

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3 bananas, mashed
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted (for frosting)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • ⅓ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth and stir in the cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together sugar, softened butter, sour cream, and eggs until creamy. Add the vanilla extract and mashed bananas, mixing until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture in three batches, stirring until just combined. Fold in walnuts if using.
