Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar (for topping)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for topping)
- 1/4 cup quick oats
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed (for topping)
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix 2 cups flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Cut in 1 cup softened butter until crumbly. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined. Pour over baked crust.
- In a separate bowl, toss chopped apples with cinnamon and nutmeg, then evenly spread over cheesecake layer.
- For the topping, combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup flour, quick oats, and cold cubed butter. Mix until crumbly and sprinkle over apple layer.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the center is set and topping is golden.
- Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
