Description

Crispy beet chips are a healthy, colorful snack made from thinly sliced beets baked or air-fried until perfectly crunchy and lightly seasoned.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium beets (about 450 g), washed and peeled
  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika or chili powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the beets very thinly using a mandoline or sharp knife.
  3. Pat the beet slices dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  4. Place the slices in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss until evenly coated.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  6. Arrange the beet slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, flip the slices, then bake for another 10–15 minutes until crispy.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes to crisp up further before serving.
