Description
A bold and creamy jalapeño honey mustard sauce that perfectly balances sweet honey, tangy Dijon mustard, and spicy fresh jalapeños. This versatile condiment works as a dip, spread, dressing, or marinade.
Ingredients
- ½ cup Dijon mustard
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 fresh jalapeños, stemmed (seeds removed for less heat)
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Wash and stem the jalapeños. For a milder sauce, remove the seeds and membranes.
- Add Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, jalapeños, garlic, and salt to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness or tanginess if needed.
- Transfer the sauce to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Stir before serving and use as a dip, spread, dressing, or marinade.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, add 2–3 tablespoons of Greek yogurt or sour cream.
- Adjust heat by increasing or decreasing the number of jalapeños or keeping/removing seeds.
- Add spices like cumin, smoked paprika, or cayenne for extra depth.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
- Stir before serving and thin with water or vinegar if needed.
