Description
A fragrant and lightly floral jasmine syrup perfect for sweetening drinks, desserts, and teas. Simple to make with just a few ingredients.
Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons jasmine tea (4 tea bags)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1½ cup water
Instructions
- Add the jasmine tea, sugar, and water to a small pot.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring until the sugar has fully dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Discard the tea bags or strain out the tea leaves, then transfer the syrup to an airtight container.
- Store in the refrigerator or use as desired.
Notes
- Use loose leaf jasmine tea for a stronger floral flavor.
- Adjust sweetness by reducing or increasing sugar slightly.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
