Description
Kahlua Balls are no-bake, boozy dessert bites made with crushed vanilla wafers, cocoa powder, chopped walnuts, and a generous splash of Kahlua liqueur. Perfect for holiday parties or as a grown-up sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups vanilla wafer crumbs (about 11 oz of wafers)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup Kahlua (coffee liqueur)
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- Additional powdered sugar or cocoa powder for rolling (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine vanilla wafer crumbs, powdered sugar, chopped walnuts, and cocoa powder.
- Stir in Kahlua and corn syrup until the mixture is fully combined and holds together when pressed.
- Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Optional: Roll each ball in powdered sugar or cocoa powder for a finished look.
- Place the Kahlua balls in an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- These treats are intended for adults due to the alcohol content.
- For a nuttier flavor, toast the walnuts before adding them.
- They taste even better after a day or two as the flavors meld.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for longer storage.
