Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups dry pasta (like mafalda or rotini)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup ricotta cheese (optional, for serving)
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in beef broth, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Add dry pasta to the skillet and stir to combine. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes or until the pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
