Description

Lemon Basil Shrimp is a light and flavorful seafood dish combining juicy shrimp with fresh basil and a zesty lemon sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a refreshing summer dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in fresh chopped basil.
  7. Serve immediately with pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

Notes
