Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh turmeric root (or 2 Tbsp ground turmeric)
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh ginger root
- 2 lemons, peeled
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 cup water (to blend)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.
- Use a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to strain the mixture into a bowl, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Transfer the juice into a jar or bottle and store in the refrigerator.
- Shake well before drinking. Best served chilled.
Notes
- If you can’t find fresh turmeric, ground turmeric works as a substitute.
- Maple syrup is optional for added sweetness.
- Best consumed within 3-4 days, or freeze into ice cubes for longer storage.
