Description

Juicy lemon pepper chicken thighs grilled to perfection and served on a toasted bun with fresh toppings for a flavorful and satisfying burger.


Ingredients

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, sliced
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs and coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the chicken thighs for 5–7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce, grilled chicken thigh, tomato slices, and red onion on the bottom bun.
  7. Spread mayonnaise on the top bun if desired, then close the burger and serve immediately.
