Description
Juicy, tender grilled lobster tails brushed with a buttery lemon pepper sauce and cooked to perfection. This easy seafood recipe is perfect for summer grilling or an elegant dinner at home.
Ingredients
- 4 lobster tails (5–6 oz each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 400°F).
- Using kitchen shears, cut down the top of each lobster shell lengthwise. Gently pull the meat upward, resting it on top of the shell while keeping it attached at the base.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Mix well.
- Brush the lobster meat generously with the lemon butter mixture.
- Place the lobster tails flesh-side up on the grill grates. Close the lid and grill for 8–10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and reaches an internal temperature of 140–145°F.
- During grilling, baste occasionally with additional lemon butter.
- Remove from the grill and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Do not overcook lobster, as it can become tough and rubbery.
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
- If desired, add a pinch of cayenne pepper for slight heat.
- Lobster tails can also be broiled in the oven for 8–10 minutes if a grill is not available.
