Description
A hearty and flavorful loaded 7-layer dip made with seasoned ground turkey, creamy beans, fresh vegetables, and melted cheese. Perfect for parties, game days, or family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
- 1 cup sour cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the turkey. Stir well and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Spread the refried beans evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch serving dish.
- In a bowl, mix sour cream and softened cream cheese until smooth. Spread evenly over the beans.
- Layer the seasoned ground turkey evenly over the cream layer.
- Spread salsa evenly over the turkey layer.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
- Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions as the final layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a layer of guacamole between the beans and sour cream mixture.
- Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter option.
- This dip can be made a few hours ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
