Description

A hearty and flavorful loaded 7-layer dip made with seasoned ground turkey, creamy beans, fresh vegetables, and melted cheese. Perfect for parties, game days, or family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (about 1 oz)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey until fully browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water to the turkey. Stir well and simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Spread the refried beans evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch serving dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix sour cream and softened cream cheese until smooth. Spread evenly over the beans.
  5. Layer the seasoned ground turkey evenly over the cream layer.
  6. Spread salsa evenly over the turkey layer.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
  8. Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions as the final layer.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a layer of guacamole between the beans and sour cream mixture.
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter option.
  • This dip can be made a few hours ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
