Description

This frozen mango margarita recipe is a refreshing tropical twist on the classic cocktail, made with frozen mango, tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice. It’s smooth, fruity, and perfect for summer sipping or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 1/2 cup silver tequila
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 12 tablespoons agave syrup or simple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Lime wedge and Tajín or salt, for rimming the glass (optional)

Instructions

  1. If desired, rim your glass with a lime wedge and dip it in Tajín or salt. Set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine frozen mango chunks, tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and sweetener (if using).
  3. Add ice and blend until smooth and slushy.
  4. Pour into prepared glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less syrup depending on your taste and how sweet the mangoes are.
  • To make it non-alcoholic, skip the tequila and liqueur and replace with orange juice and mango juice for a tropical mocktail.
  • Use ripe frozen mango for the best flavor and texture.
