Description
A refreshing and fruity Mango Strawberry Sorbet that perfectly balances tropical mango sweetness with bright strawberry tartness. This smooth, vibrant frozen dessert is dairy-free, easy to prepare, and perfect for warm days.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (about 2 cups)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and dice the mangoes, then hull and slice the strawberries.
- Add the mangoes, strawberries, sugar, water, and lime juice (if using) to a blender or food processor.
- Blend until completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or lime juice according to preference.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow freezer-safe dish and spread evenly.
- Cover and freeze for 4–6 hours, stirring every 1–2 hours to break up ice crystals for a smoother texture.
- Let the sorbet sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before scooping and serving.
Notes
- Use very ripe fruit for the best natural sweetness and flavor.
- Frozen mangoes and strawberries can be used; thaw slightly before blending if needed.
- Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
- Stirring during freezing helps prevent an icy texture.
- Serve in chilled bowls to slow melting.
