Ingredients
- 3 apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji recommended)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Wash and core the apples, then slice them thinly (about 1/8 inch thick) using a sharp knife or mandoline.
- In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with maple syrup and cinnamon until evenly coated.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, making sure they don’t overlap.
- Bake for 1 hour, then flip each slice and bake for another 1 to 1.5 hours until crisp.
- Remove from the oven and let the chips cool completely to crisp up fully.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
Notes
- Use a mandoline for even slicing and consistent crispness.
- Different apple varieties may yield slightly different textures and sweetness levels.
- Let the chips cool completely before storing to avoid sogginess.
