- 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or 1–2 shots of espresso
- 3/4 cup milk (any kind)
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
- Extra cinnamon, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk frequently until the mixture is hot and just beginning to simmer. Do not boil.
- Use a milk frother or whisk vigorously to create foam, if desired.
- Pour the hot coffee or espresso into a mug.
- Pour the maple cinnamon milk over the coffee, holding back the foam with a spoon.
- Top with foam, whipped cream, and a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- You can use any milk you prefer — dairy or plant-based options like oat or almond milk work great.
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup to taste depending on your sweetness preference.
- If you don’t have a frother, you can shake the warm milk in a jar or whisk it vigorously by hand.
