Description

This creamy Margarita Ice Cream blends bright lime and orange flavors with coconut cream for a refreshing frozen dessert. Inspired by the classic cocktail, it is tangy, smooth, and lightly sweetened.

Ingredients

  • 4 teaspoons grated lime zest
  • 3/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup agave or maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2/3 cup coconut cream

Instructions

  1. Combine the lime zest, lime juice, orange juice, agave or maple syrup, salt, cottage cheese, and coconut cream in a blender.
  2. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container and secure the lid.
  4. Freeze overnight or for at least 12 hours.
  5. When ready to serve, process the frozen mixture using the Ninja Creami “Sorbet” setting.
  6. Scoop into bowls, drizzle with agave syrup if desired, sprinkle with flaky salt, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Maple syrup can be used instead of agave for a deeper sweetness.
  • For a stronger citrus flavor, add extra lime zest before serving.
  • If the ice cream is crumbly after spinning, respin once for a creamier texture.
  • Store leftovers in the freezer and respin before serving for best texture.
