Marry Me Shrimp Pasta is a creamy, flavorful pasta dish featuring juicy shrimp in a rich sun-dried tomato cream sauce. It’s an easy yet elegant meal that’s perfect for date night or any special occasion.
Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or your choice)
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and heavy cream. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and the sauce thickens.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use half and half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
- Adjust spice level by increasing or omitting red pepper flakes.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for extra veggies.
