Description

This Mexican Martini is a bold and flavorful cocktail combining the zest of a margarita with the elegance of a martini. It’s tangy, slightly salty, and perfect for any fiesta or happy hour.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila (silver or reposado)
  • 1/2 ounce orange liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce orange juice
  • 1/2 ounce olive brine (from jarred green olives)
  • Splash of lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
  • Salt for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Ice
  • Green olives and lime wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rim the edge of a martini glass with salt (optional) and set aside.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Add tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, orange juice, and olive brine to the shaker.
  4. Shake well for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  5. Strain into the prepared martini glass.
  6. Add a splash of lemon-lime soda to the drink.
  7. Garnish with green olives and a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust olive brine to taste if you prefer it saltier.
  • Use freshly squeezed lime juice for best flavor.
  • Chill the martini glass beforehand for a crisper cocktail experience.
