Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into triangles (about 4-6 depending on size preference).
- Place a small handful of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the triangle from the wide end toward the tip to form the croissant shape.
- Place the rolled croissants on the prepared baking sheet, tip side down.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to make the egg wash.
- Brush the tops of the croissants with the egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use high-quality chocolate for best results.
- You can dust with powdered sugar after baking for a fancy touch.
