Description

These mouthwatering chocolate croissants are flaky, buttery, and filled with rich melted chocolate. Perfect for breakfast or a sweet treat, they’re surprisingly easy to make with store-bought puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into triangles (about 4-6 depending on size preference).
  4. Place a small handful of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll the triangle from the wide end toward the tip to form the croissant shape.
  6. Place the rolled croissants on the prepared baking sheet, tip side down.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to make the egg wash.
  8. Brush the tops of the croissants with the egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
