Description

Not Yo’ Mama’s Banana Pudding is a rich and creamy no-bake dessert made with layers of buttery cookies, bananas, and a luscious pudding mixture of cream cheese, sweetened condensed milk, whipped topping, and instant pudding. It’s a crowd-pleaser and a modern twist on a Southern classic.


Ingredients

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
  • 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk and cold milk until smooth.
  2. Add the instant pudding mix and continue whisking for about 2 minutes or until thickened. Chill in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  4. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese until well combined.
  5. Add the chilled pudding mixture to the cream cheese mixture and mix until smooth and creamy.
  6. Line the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish with one bag of Chessmen cookies.
  7. Top with a layer of sliced bananas.
  8. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the bananas.
  9. Top with the second bag of Chessmen cookies.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  • For added flavor, drizzle caramel between layers.
