Description

Oh Henry Bars are rich, chewy no-bake dessert bars made with peanut butter, crispy rice cereal, and a smooth chocolate butterscotch topping. They’re sweet, crunchy, and perfect for parties or quick treats.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar and corn syrup. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved and the mixture begins to gently bubble. Do not boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the peanut butter until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Add the crispy rice cereal and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
  6. Spread the melted chocolate mixture evenly over the cereal layer.
  7. Allow the bars to cool and set at room temperature or refrigerate until firm. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

  • Do not allow the sugar mixture to fully boil, as this can make the bars hard.
  • For easier cutting, chill the bars before slicing.
  • You can substitute crunchy peanut butter for added texture.
