  • 2 tbsp rice flour

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (as needed for batter)
  • Oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

  1. Peel and thinly slice the onions into rings. Separate the rings and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
  3. Gradually add water to form a thick, smooth batter that coats the onion rings well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Dip each onion ring into the batter, ensuring it’s well coated.
  6. Carefully drop the coated onion rings into the hot oil in batches.
  7. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping occasionally.
