Description

Orange Dreamsicle Salad is a refreshing, creamy treat that combines the vibrant flavors of oranges and vanilla, reminiscent of the classic childhood ice cream popsicle. This salad is a perfect balance of citrusy sweetness and rich creaminess.

Ingredients

1 (3.4 oz) package of vanilla instant pudding mix

1 (8 oz) container of whipped topping

1 cup of cold milk

1 can of mandarin oranges, drained

1 cup of mini marshmallows

1/2 cup of shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla instant pudding mix and cold milk. Stir until the mixture thickens and the pudding mix is fully dissolved.
  2. Gently fold in the whipped topping, ensuring it’s evenly mixed with the pudding.
  3. Add the drained mandarin oranges and stir carefully to avoid breaking up the fruit too much.
  4. Stir in the mini marshmallows and shredded coconut (if using).
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend and the salad to chill.
  6. Serve cold and enjoy the creamy, citrusy delight!

Notes

  1. For a lighter version, substitute the whipped topping with Greek yogurt or low-fat whipped topping.
  2. You can use fresh orange segments instead of canned mandarin oranges for a more natural, less sweet flavor.
  3. Add a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch and texture.
  4. If you love coconut, feel free to increase the amount of shredded coconut or add toasted coconut for an added flavor boost.
  5. For an extra creamy touch, add a little cream cheese to the pudding mixture.
