Description

A smooth and creamy Oreo frosting made with butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and crushed Oreos. Perfect for cakes, cupcakes, or as a dip for cookies!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1012 Oreo cookies, crushed

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with a mixer for about 2–3 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, mixing on low speed until fully combined. Increase speed to medium-high and beat for an additional 1–2 minutes.
  3. Mix in vanilla extract and heavy cream, beating until the frosting is light and fluffy.
  4. Gently fold in the crushed Oreos with a spatula, being careful not to overmix to keep the texture.
  5. Spread on cakes, cupcakes, or use as a filling between cookies.

Notes

  • Use freshly crushed Oreos for the best texture.
  • Add more cream for a softer consistency or more powdered sugar for a thicker frosting.
  • Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days—bring to room temperature before using.
