Ingredients
- 5 large croissants (preferably 1 day old)
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 cup cooked breakfast meat (bacon, sausage, or ham)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Slice the croissants in half lengthwise and layer the bottoms in the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese and breakfast meat over the croissants.
- Top with the croissant tops, followed by the remaining cheese and meat.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants in the dish.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
- Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
