Description

This Overnight Croissant Breakfast Casserole is a rich and savory dish made with buttery croissants, eggs, cheese, and your choice of breakfast meat. Perfect for prepping the night before, it’s an easy and delicious option for feeding a crowd at brunch or holiday mornings.


Ingredients

  • 5 large croissants (preferably 1 day old)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast meat (bacon, sausage, or ham)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the croissants in half lengthwise and layer the bottoms in the dish.
  3. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese and breakfast meat over the croissants.
  4. Top with the croissant tops, followed by the remaining cheese and meat.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants in the dish.
  7. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  8. In the morning, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  9. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and golden brown.
  10. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
