Description

These Parmesan Crusted Turkey Cutlets are a quick and delicious dinner option. Made with thin turkey breast cutlets coated in a crispy Parmesan and breadcrumb crust, they’re pan-fried to golden perfection and perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) turkey breast cutlets
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 23 tablespoons olive oil, for frying
  • Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the flour in a shallow bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and water.
  3. In a third bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  4. Dip each turkey cutlet first in the flour, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb-Parmesan mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook the cutlets for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  8. Serve hot with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Use thin turkey cutlets for quicker cooking.
  • You can substitute chicken breasts if turkey isn’t available.
  • Make sure oil is hot enough before frying to ensure a crispy crust.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
