Parmesan Crusted Zucchini Sticks are a delicious and healthy appetizer or snack, featuring fresh zucchini coated in a seasoned Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture, then baked to crispy perfection.
Ingredients
- 2 medium zucchini
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk (or beaten egg for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise and then into quarters to form sticks.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each zucchini stick into the milk (or beaten egg), then coat thoroughly with the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the coated sticks on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2–3 minutes.
- Serve with marinara or ranch dipping sauce.
- You can substitute egg for milk if preferred.
