Description
Soft and fluffy homemade peach cinnamon rolls filled with juicy peaches and warm cinnamon sugar, then topped with a creamy glaze for the perfect sweet breakfast or brunch treat.
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup whole milk, warmed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (for filling)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups fresh peaches, finely chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for glaze)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
- Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a 14×9-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle evenly over the butter.
- Distribute the chopped peaches evenly over the cinnamon sugar layer.
- Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Slice into 12 equal rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30-45 minutes until puffy.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Spread over warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm peaches to prevent excess moisture in the filling.
- If using frozen peaches, thaw and drain well before adding.
- Rolls can be prepared the night before and refrigerated for the second rise.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
