Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional, for garnish)
- 1/2 cup chopped peanut butter cups (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare and bake the brownie mix according to the package instructions. Allow to cool completely, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in half of the whipped topping into the peanut butter mixture until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until thickened (about 2 minutes).
- Fold the remaining whipped topping into the pudding mixture to create a light mousse.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the brownie cubes, half of the peanut butter mixture, and half of the pudding mixture. Repeat the layers.
- Top with mini chocolate chips and chopped peanut butter cups if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set.
