Description
This rich and creamy peanut butter cheesecake features a chocolate cookie crust, a luscious peanut butter filling, and a smooth chocolate ganache topping. It’s a decadent dessert perfect for peanut butter lovers.
Ingredients
- 24 Oreo cookies (crushed into crumbs)
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese (softened)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, mix crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add peanut butter, sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Mix in sour cream and 1/2 cup heavy cream until smooth.
- Pour filling over the cooled crust. Bake for 55–65 minutes or until the center is almost set.
- Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
- Remove from oven and let cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- To make the ganache, heat 1/2 cup heavy cream until hot but not boiling. Pour over chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for 2 minutes. Stir until smooth.
- Pour ganache over the chilled cheesecake and spread evenly. Chill until set before serving.

- Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture.
- Let all ingredients come to room temperature before mixing.
- Chilling overnight gives the best flavor and texture.
