Description
Quick, easy, and irresistibly delicious, these no-bake cookies combine rich peanut butter and chocolate for a perfect sweet treat.
Ingredients
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups quick-cooking oats
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, sugar, and milk. Stir occasionally and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, let it cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla extract to the saucepan. Stir until smooth and well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine quick oats, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Pour the peanut butter mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until evenly mixed.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper or a lined baking sheet. Use a cookie scoop for even sizes.
- Allow the cookies to cool and set for 15-20 minutes until firm.
- Once set, the cookies are ready to enjoy! Pair them with a glass of milk or your favorite drink.
Notes
- Use quick oats for the best texture; old-fashioned oats may not hold together as well.
- Cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- For a richer flavor, try using natural peanut butter without added sugar.
- You can add a handful of mini chocolate chips or chopped nuts for extra texture.
