- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the softened butter and mix until the dough is crumbly.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the brown sugar, honey, melted butter, and heavy cream in a medium bowl. Stir in the chopped pecans and vanilla extract.
- Pour the pecan filling over the hot crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the filling is set and golden.
- Let the pecan bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Allow the bars to cool fully for clean, even slices.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
- For extra flavor, lightly toast the pecans before adding to the filling.
- Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent dessert.
