Ingredients
- 1 cup milk (any kind)
- 1/4 cup strong brewed coffee or 1–2 shots of espresso
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1–2 tablespoons granulated sugar (to taste)
- 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract (or more to taste)
- Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)
- Crushed candy canes or chocolate shavings, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, and sugar.
- Whisk constantly until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Stir in the brewed coffee or espresso and peppermint extract. Adjust sweetness or peppermint flavor if desired.
- Pour into a mug and top with whipped cream, crushed candy canes, or chocolate shavings if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!

- Use any milk you like: dairy, almond, oat, etc.
- Adjust the amount of peppermint extract to suit your taste.
