Description

Peppermint Puff Pastry Sticks are festive, flaky, and easy-to-make treats infused with crushed peppermint candy and finished with a sweet drizzle. Perfect for the holidays, they pair wonderfully with hot cocoa or serve as a light dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
  • Optional: 1/4 cup melted white chocolate or icing for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Brush the surface with the beaten egg.
  4. Sprinkle evenly with granulated sugar and crushed peppermint candies.
  5. Cut the pastry into strips about ½ to 1 inch wide.
  6. Gently twist each strip and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Let the sticks cool completely.
  9. Optionally drizzle with melted white chocolate or icing.
  10. Allow drizzle to set before serving.

Notes

  • Use cold puff pastry for the best rise.
  • Crushed peppermint adds both flavor and festive appearance.
  • White chocolate drizzle is optional but enhances presentation.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven, not microwave, to maintain crispiness.
