Description

Pepperoni Pizza Bombs are a fun, portable take on the classic pizza with pepperoni, melted cheese, and a fluffy dough shell. A great snack, appetizer, or quick dinner option.

Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough

1/2 cup of pepperoni slices, chopped

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup of marinara sauce (for dipping)

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
  3. Place a small piece of chopped pepperoni and shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough piece.
  4. Carefully fold the dough around the filling to form a ball and pinch the edges to seal them tightly.
  5. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush the tops of the dough balls with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
  9. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  1. Vegetarian Version: Replace the pepperoni with vegetables like mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for a vegetarian-friendly option.
  2. Cheese Lovers: Add extra layers of cheese, such as cheddar or Parmesan, for a richer, cheesier experience.
  3. Spicy Version: Mix in some jalapeños or add spicy sausage to the filling for a kick.
  4. Dipping Sauces: Instead of marinara, try dipping them in ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, or garlic butter for a different flavor.
  5. Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  6. Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
