Description
Pepperoni Pizza Bombs are a fun, portable take on the classic pizza with pepperoni, melted cheese, and a fluffy dough shell. A great snack, appetizer, or quick dinner option.
Ingredients
1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 cup of pepperoni slices, chopped
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup of marinara sauce (for dipping)
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
- Place a small piece of chopped pepperoni and shredded mozzarella cheese in the center of each dough piece.
- Carefully fold the dough around the filling to form a ball and pinch the edges to seal them tightly.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush the tops of the dough balls with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted inside.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
- Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Vegetarian Version: Replace the pepperoni with vegetables like mushrooms, bell peppers, or spinach for a vegetarian-friendly option.
- Cheese Lovers: Add extra layers of cheese, such as cheddar or Parmesan, for a richer, cheesier experience.
- Spicy Version: Mix in some jalapeños or add spicy sausage to the filling for a kick.
- Dipping Sauces: Instead of marinara, try dipping them in ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, or garlic butter for a different flavor.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheating: Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes, or in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
