Description

A vibrant and creamy Peruvian green sauce packed with fresh cilantro, garlic, lime, and a touch of jalapeño heat. Perfect as a dip, drizzle, or spread to brighten up meats, vegetables, and more.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, packed
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 jalapeños, seeds removed for less heat
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the cilantro, mayonnaise, sour cream, olive oil, jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  3. Transfer the sauce to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Serve as a dip for fries, roasted vegetables, or grilled meats, or drizzle over tacos and salads.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • Adjust the heat by adding more or less jalapeño, or include some seeds for extra spice.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • If the sauce is too thick, thin with a small amount of water or additional lime juice.
