Description
A vibrant and creamy Peruvian green sauce packed with fresh cilantro, garlic, lime, and a touch of jalapeño heat. Perfect as a dip, drizzle, or spread to brighten up meats, vegetables, and more.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, packed
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1–2 jalapeños, seeds removed for less heat
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a blender or food processor, combine the cilantro, mayonnaise, sour cream, olive oil, jalapeños, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Transfer the sauce to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve as a dip for fries, roasted vegetables, or grilled meats, or drizzle over tacos and salads.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
- Adjust the heat by adding more or less jalapeño, or include some seeds for extra spice.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- If the sauce is too thick, thin with a small amount of water or additional lime juice.
