Description

These Pesto Mozzarella Twists are a quick and delicious appetizer or snack made with puff pastry, fresh pesto, and melty mozzarella cheese. Perfect for parties or a savory treat anytime.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup Gotham Greens Pesto
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Flour, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour your surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle.
  3. Spread Gotham Greens Pesto evenly over half of the puff pastry.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pesto.
  5. Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the pesto and cheese layer to sandwich it.
  6. Cut into strips about 1 inch wide using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  7. Twist each strip several times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush each twist with beaten egg to give a golden finish.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.
