Description
These Pesto Mozzarella Twists are a quick and delicious appetizer or snack made with puff pastry, fresh pesto, and melty mozzarella cheese. Perfect for parties or a savory treat anytime.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- 1/4 cup Gotham Greens Pesto
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour your surface and roll out the puff pastry sheet into a rectangle.
- Spread Gotham Greens Pesto evenly over half of the puff pastry.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pesto.
- Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the pesto and cheese layer to sandwich it.
- Cut into strips about 1 inch wide using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- Twist each strip several times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush each twist with beaten egg to give a golden finish.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
