Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are loaded with seasoned ground beef, sauteed peppers and onions, melted provolone cheese, and soft rolls brushed with garlic butter. They are quick, cheesy, and perfect for parties, game days, or easy family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 dinner rolls or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Dice the onion, bell pepper, and garlic into small pieces.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper until the beef is browned and the vegetables are tender. Drain excess grease if needed.
  4. Stir in the garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes until fragrant.
  5. Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally without separating the individual rolls. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Spread the mayonnaise evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
  7. Spoon the beef mixture evenly over the rolls.
  8. Layer the provolone cheese slices over the beef mixture.
  9. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  10. Combine the melted butter and garlic powder, then brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  11. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  12. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use shaved ribeye steak instead of ground beef for a more traditional cheesesteak flavor.
  • Swap provolone for mozzarella, cheddar, or American cheese if desired.
  • Add sauteed mushrooms or jalapenos for extra flavor and texture.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat covered in the oven at 325°F until warmed through.
  • The beef filling can be frozen separately for up to 2 months.
