Description

A hearty and comforting Pioneer Woman Cheeseburger Pie featuring seasoned ground beef, melty cheddar cheese, and a golden Bisquick batter crust — a baked twist on the classic cheeseburger.


Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste (optional)
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick mix (or all-purpose flour)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • Vegetable oil, for greasing and sautéing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9-inch pie plate with vegetable oil.
  2. Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet and sauté the chopped onion for about 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook for about 10 minutes until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  4. Drain any excess fat and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (if using).
  5. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared pie plate.
  6. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese evenly over the beef layer.
  7. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until smooth and well combined.
  8. Pour the batter evenly over the beef and cheese.
  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.
  10. Allow the pie to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
