Description
A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, this Pistachio Tiramisu features layers of creamy pistachio mascarpone, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of pistachio crumbs for a nutty, rich, and indulgent treat.
Ingredients
- 250g mascarpone
- 300ml double cream
- 100g pistachio cream or paste
- 3 tbsp icing sugar
- 200g Savoiardi biscuits (ladyfingers)
- 200ml strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 50g pistachios, finely chopped or ground (for topping)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the double cream until it holds soft peaks.
- Add the mascarpone, pistachio cream, and icing sugar to the whipped cream, and gently fold together until smooth and well combined.
- Dip each Savoiardi biscuit briefly into the cooled coffee, making sure not to soak them too long.
- Arrange a layer of dipped biscuits in the base of your serving dish or individual cups.
- Spread half of the pistachio mascarpone mixture over the biscuits and smooth the top.
- Repeat the process with another layer of dipped biscuits followed by the remaining cream mixture.
- Sprinkle the top with finely chopped or ground pistachios.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute pistachio cream with homemade pistachio paste if desired.
- Use decaf coffee if serving to children or those avoiding caffeine.
- The dessert is best made the day before for optimal flavor and texture.
