Description
Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these air fryer polenta fries are a fun and healthier alternative to traditional fries, made easily with pre-cooked polenta and a few simple ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1 (16-ounce) tube of pre-cooked polenta
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- Cooking spray
- Optional: Fresh parsley, grated Parmesan cheese, or your favorite dipping sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Cut the polenta into fry-shaped sticks, about 3-4 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
- In a mixing bowl, gently toss the polenta fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Place the polenta fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy on the outside.
- Remove from the air fryer and garnish with optional parsley or Parmesan cheese before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Ensure fries are evenly sized for consistent cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the basket to maintain crispiness.
- These fries are best served immediately but can be reheated in the air fryer for a few minutes.
- Use flavored polenta (like garlic or herb) for extra taste.
