Ingredients
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey or sugar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon chili paste or red pepper flakes (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey (or sugar), and sesame oil.
 - Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the mixture, stirring well to combine.
 - If you want a bit of heat, add chili paste or red pepper flakes to your liking.
 - Mix everything together until well combined. You can also refrigerate the sauce for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
 - Optional: Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving for a little extra crunch.

Notes
- Sweet and Spicy: Add a few extra teaspoons of chili paste for a spicier kick. You can also experiment with adding a bit of sriracha sauce.
 - Vegan Version: Use maple syrup or agave nectar in place of honey to make the sauce fully vegan-friendly.
 - Garlic-Free: Omit the garlic if you prefer a cleaner, less pungent flavor profile.
 - Add Lime: For a citrus twist, add a teaspoon of lime juice to the sauce for a fresh, zesty kick.
