Description

These Prosciutto and Parmesan Pinwheels are a savory appetizer made with puff pastry, thinly sliced prosciutto, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese, perfect for parties or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 ounces thinly sliced prosciutto
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Arrange slices of prosciutto evenly over each sheet of pastry.
  4. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the prosciutto.
  5. Roll up each sheet tightly into a log, starting from one long edge.
  6. Cut each log into 1/2 inch thick slices and place cut side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For easier slicing, chill the rolled pastry logs for 15–20 minutes before cutting.
  • You can substitute prosciutto with ham or salami if desired.
  • These pinwheels can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
