Description

This homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte combines real pumpkin, warm spices, and espresso or coffee for a cozy and flavorful fall-inspired drink. It’s creamy, comforting, and easy to make at home with just a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 to 3 tablespoons sugar, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, plus more for serving
  • 1/2 cup strong hot coffee or 1 to 2 shots of espresso
  • Whipped cream, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar.
  2. Heat until hot but not boiling, then remove from heat.
  3. Whisk in vanilla extract and pumpkin pie spice.
  4. Use a blender, immersion blender, or whisk to froth the milk mixture until foamy.
  5. Pour coffee or espresso into a large mug, then add the frothed pumpkin milk mixture.
  6. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar to your sweetness preference.
  • Use almond, oat, or soy milk for a dairy-free version.
  • You can make your own pumpkin pie spice with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  • For a stronger coffee flavor, use 2 shots of espresso.
