Description

This homemade Pumpkin Spice Syrup is a cozy and flavorful addition to your fall beverages. Made with real pumpkin, warm spices, and sweeteners, it’s perfect for lattes, coffee, tea, or drizzling over pancakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the water and sugar over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the pumpkin puree, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger. Whisk to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the syrup thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove solids for a smooth texture (optional).
  6. Let cool, then transfer to a clean jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to a month.

Notes

  • Shake or stir well before each use, especially if not strained.
  • Use this syrup in lattes, coffee, tea, or over pancakes and waffles.
  • Adjust spices to taste for a stronger or milder flavor.
